About us
The European Camel Racing Federation (ECRF) is the continental organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the sport of camel racing across Europe. On September 6, 2023, during the General Assembly of the International Camel Racing Federation (ICRF) held in Taif, Saudi Arabia, the decision was made to establish the European Camel Racing Federation (ECRF).
ECRF aims to serve as a cultural and sports diplomatic bridge between the Middle East and Europe. With the trust and support of Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, president of ICRF, Gergely Muranyi has been appointed as the first president of the European Federation.
We are committed to upholding the values of cultural exchange, sporting excellence, and international cooperation, while fostering the development of camel racing and ensuring the education of future generations of jockeys.
Mission
Our mission at the European Camel Racing Federation is to promote and advance the sport of camel racing across Europe while fostering cultural exchange and understanding. Through this ancient tradition, we aim to serve as a bridge between cultures, educating and demonstrating the rich heritage of the Arabic countries here in Europe. Additionally, we are committed to supporting the education and development of future generations of camel racing jockeys.
Vision
Our vision is to establish the European Camel Racing Federation as a leading continental organization governed by the standards of the Olympic movement. We aim to build strong partnerships with governments and local National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to promote cultural exchange and sporting excellence. Through education and cooperation, we seek to elevate the profile of camel racing and establish a solid and trustworthy platform that unites enthusiasts and fosters the development of future generations of jockeys.
